The challenge
Scothosts wanted to disband its traditional office and introduce a virtual office environment which would allow its employees to work wherever they chose. It therefore needed a technology solution to link employees and ensure that customer calls are always answered and efficiently routed to the appropriate person.
The solution
Call Navigator™ works by answering all calls into Scothosts with a professionally-recorded voice greeting. Callers are given a list of press-button department options and are automatically routed to the appropriate destination. If the number is engaged, the call is routed to the next number in the hunt group. If the call is still not answered, it is diverted to voice mail. The system notifies via email the person for whom the call was intended.
The routing options and call hunt groups can be amended instantly and at any time of the day or night, simply by accessing a web-based administration panel.

According to Eddie Gibbs, director of marketing at Scothosts, Call Navigator™ has helped the company slash unnecessary office costs by more than £30,000. More importantly, it has led to a significant increase in productivity and a trebling in turnover to around £1.5 million.
